Youth

All are welcome! Youth and parents are invited to be a part of the Youth & Family Ministry program here at Ascension. Our hope and prayer is that, through a partnership between this ministry of Ascension and the ministry of the home, faith in God is being nurtured in both youth and their families. The Youth and Family Ministry Program involves youth and parents through:

• A focus on Faith, Family and above all Jesus Christ
• Family Ministry course offerings for adults during  Sunday Church School
• Workshops for families
• Monthly activities for 4^th-6^th grade students
• Weekly Confirmation classes for 7^th & 8^th grade students
• Youth Group for 7^th-12^th grade students every Sunday evening
• Youth Group Retreats & Lockins for 7^th-12^th grade students
• Synod retreats for 6^th-8^th grade and 9^th-12^th grade with youth from across Delaware and Maryland
• Regular fellowship opportunities
• Monthly local service projects for families
• Triennial ELCA National Youth Gathering for students in 9^th-12^th grade
• Triennial International Servant Trip for students in 9^th-12^th grade
• Triennial Domestic Servant Trip for students in 8^th-12^th grade
• Teen discipleship program
