“Parent Group” gatherings are an opportunity for parents and grandparents to give and receive support for one another in the important work of faith development within families. Expect lots of time for sharing and discussion.
- April 15 - Join the Forum on Youth and Family Ministry and Christian Education in the Great Hall.
- April 22 – “Parenting for Different Child Temperaments” led by Kate Amey Degnan.
- April 29 – “Christianity and Sports – A Values Conflict for Parents?” led by Kelly Saraceno
- May 6 – “Talking to Teens about Sex” with Dr. Mathey
- May 13 – Parents help with Sunday Church School project
- May 20 – “Parenting for Peace” with Marcie Hipple
- May 27 – “Using the Church Family for Parenting Support”
Bible Share: Reflections on Life and Ministry

Pastors who are members of Ascension share a favorite Bible verse and the reason why it’s a favorite. Along the way, hear rich remembrances of life in ministry.

Growing in Spirit

Leader McKay Jenkins has recently returned from China. He will lead the group in talking about sacred poetry and prose from the Chinese tradition of Taoism, including writings from the Tao Te Ching, the Chuang Tzu, and a selection of wilderness poetry.

Friday Bible Study, 11:00am – 12:15pm (2nd Fridays at Blakehurst):

Meets in the Luther Room and Blakehurst (on 2nd Fridays each month). On the 2nd Friday, study lessons proclaimed in worship on the upcoming Sunday with Pastors Jim and Judy Cobb. Other Fridays, study the pericope with participants. New members and drop-ins are cordially invited to join the study!
