Sunday Church School

Please Note:  There will be no classes on January 29 or April 8.  During the Annual Meeting of the Congregation on January 29, supervised  activities will be offered for students so parents and teachers can attend the meeting. 

Ascension offers a weekly Sunday School for all ages from 9:45am – 10:30am during the school year!   7th and 8th graders meet with teachers for confirmation classes.

Our curriculum for each age and grade level is Christ centered and developmentally appropriate. Classes are taught by volunteers and facilitated by the Director of Christian Education. All adults who work with children at Ascension are given background checks and sign our Child Protection Policy.

Our curriculum is Spark:  Activate Faith!  This curriculum engages all age levels and makes the connection to the Bible reading heard in worship.

During the year, our Sunday Church School engages in family intergenerational activities as a group, including ADVENTure, Children’s Christmas worship and program and Passover Seder.

3 year olds	Meet in Room 202 – Upper Level
Pre K & Kindergarten	Meet in Room 101 - Lower Level
1st & 2nd grades	Meet in Room 103 – Lower Level
3rd & 4th grades	Meet in the Library – Lower Level
5th & 6th grades	Meet in Room 102 - Lower Level
7th & 8th grade Confirmation	Meet in the Middle School Room
9th – 12th grades	Meet in the Youth Room

Nursery care is available for infants and toddlers every Sunday 9:45am and 11:00am in Room 203 near the receptionist desk.
